Interview with Marcus Garvey

Let me speak of Marcus Garvey, born 17th August 1887.
Marcus is to the nation, as the president is to the Americans or the pope is to the Catholic’s, personally I see him as a prophet and Rasta people would agree with that statement. Dedicating his life to the betterment of the African race and the liberation of our mind from the slavery indoctrination.

Garvey say’s
{page 6 The Philosophy & opinions of Marcus Garvey }
” So many of us find excuses to get out of the African race, because we are led to believe that the race is unworthy, that it has not accomplished anything. Cowards! we are! it is we who are unworthy, because we are not contributing to the upliftment of this noble race.”
Marcus is not perfect, who is ? we all come short of the fullness of God’s creation. but Marcus had some good ideas, and you must know that not a thing comes about without first having the idea. As Rasta would say
1.  1st is to have the (meditation ) idea.
2.  Then is to reason it.
3.  Then is to bring about the manifestation of the idea and reasoning.
And so in order for the African to be truly free we had to free our minds from the zombie state and look to own history and culture. One thing about Babylon is they don’t hide their iniquities it’s there in them lie-bary  and so Mr smith, Mr Carr , Mr brown check yourself and be true to your real identity. ” For man to know himself is for him to feel that for him there is no human master. for him nature is his servant and whatsoever he wills in nature, shall be his reward. If he wills to be a pigmy, or a slave that shall he be.
If he wills to be a real man in possession of the things common to man, then he shall be his own sovereign. When man fails to grasp his authority he sinks to the level of the lower animals, and whatsoever the real man bids him do that much shall he do.
if he say’s “go” he goes.
if he say’s “come” he comes. Me old time teacher would say ” It is good when a man can think for himself

His . Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie. say’s

” We believe through the exchange of views that will take place, New ground will be laid, wherein our people shall move onward arm in arm, to the accomplishment in mutual sympathy of great new task.”
Marcus Garvey Quotes

Our prophet Marcus Mosiah Garvey was given a vision, that vision was to change the economic conditions of the African race. The agenda was to unite the black people of the world into one body.
The plan was black owned, black managed passenger steam ships transporting cargo around the world, This venture is was known as the black star line steamship corporation.
In the year of 1919 Garvey had also raised through U.N.I.A. fundraising efforts, money to buy a large auditorium in Harlem named Liberty hall, to be the official meeting place for the organization. It is clear that the thousands of black shareholders buying into the black star line venture believed in that Garvey dream, but the racist powers also realized the unifying of the black man is not good for colonial interest.
As history has shown us as soon as the black man takes a little interest in himself we are seen as a threat to society because we have started to think for ourselves instead of following the program and get high on drugs, drink and dazzled by the female form.

you will die
The most powerful Marcus Garvey
